Levy Security Corporation offers a variety of training programs that make the “Levy Difference.” Detailed overviews of our training programs are provided on all levels, from Basic Security Officer Training Course (BSOT), On-the Job (OJT) Training, The Training Institute (TTI) and In-Service Training refresher programs.
Premier Security takes an aggressive approach to training, which begins during the time of hiring and continues throughout an individual’s employment.
Professionalism is a direct result of proper selection, training, and orientation. Throughout the Training Academy, officers are taught the basic concepts of professional and courteous service, which is a hallmark of the corporation. This is followed up by an extensive ninety day probationary period where the officer is assigned to a Field Training Officer (FTO) who continues to build on the foundation created in the academy. During the orientation process, our clients’ own organizational beliefs, mission statements, and culture are also incorporated into the officers training.
Training is an ongoing process at Levy Security. Whether it is our Refresher Training (offered either on-site or at our state-of-the-art training facility) or our Certification Training, Levy employees are given increasing developmental opportunities to gain knowledge and leverage experience.
Deborah Regis - Corporate Trainer
Ms. Regis is Corporate Trainer with Levy Security Corporation. Most recently, Deb served as the Training Coordinator of Security and Customer Service at Northwestern Memorial Hospital. Ms. Regis has over 28 years of experience in the security industry and has been employed by Levy Security Corporation since 1997. In her current role, Ms. Regis oversees all training programs including curriculum development, evaluation, and instruction.
During this time, Ms. Regis has held many positions with Levy Security including Assistant Director of Security and Customer Service at Northwestern Memorial Hospital; Assistant Director of Protective Services at the Museum of Science & Industry; and Corporate Trainer for Levy Security Corporation.
Ms. Regis is a senior member of the International Association for Hospital Safety and Security (IAHSS). She is a certified instructor for the 20/40 hour Basic Security Officer Training (as regulated by the State of Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulations). She is also certified to instruct PPCT SHARP (Sexual Harassment, Assault, & Rape Prevention); and Defensive Tactices. In addition, Ms. Regis is certified in FEMA ICS 100/200 Incident Command System; Hazardous Decontamination; Crisis Prevention/De-escalation techniques; ICSA "Through the Customers Eyes"; and Chem-Pak training.
Prior to joining Levy Security, Ms. Regis was the Executive Director of Security Solutions Inc, a security firm and training academy, as well as an IDFPR-certified instructor of a 300/600 credit course in Security/Law Enforcement.
