Levy Security takes an aggressive approach to training, which begins during the time of hiring and continues throughout an individual’s employment. Unlike other security contractors who do not "hire" their officers until they have completed a Basic Security Officer Training course, Levy Security employs a vigorous recruiting and screening mechanism that allows us to offer our state certified 20-hour Training Academy program at no cost immediately upon passing through our new hire process. Professionalism is a direct result of proper selection, training, and orientation. Throughout the Training Academy, officers are taught the basic concepts of professional and courteous service, which is a hallmark of the corporation. A basic theme is "AKA – Levy" which stands for Appearance, Knowledge, and Approach. This is followed up by an extensive six (6) month probationary period where the officer is assigned to a Field Training Officer (FTO) who continues to build on the foundation created in the academy. During the orientation process, our clients’ own organizational beliefs, mission statements, and culture are also incorporated into the officers training.

Levy Security Corporation provides many training opportunities that are available through our Training Institute. The variety of training programs offered makes the "Levy Difference". Detailed overviews of our training programs are provided on all levels, from On-the Job Training, Introductory Training Classes, Supervisory/Management Level Courses, Leadership Module Series, Advanced Leadership Module Series, Management Accelerated Placement Program (MAPP), Certifications and annual refresher programs. 
Training is an ongoing process at Levy Security. Whether it is our Refresher Training (offered either on-site or at our state-of-the-art training facility) or our Certification Training, Levy employees are given increasing developmental opportunities to gain knowledge and leverage experience.
